What is MicroBacter7?
MicroBacter7 is a blend of beneficial bacteria and enzymes designed to improve biological filtration and water quality in freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

What does MicroBacter7 do?
It helps break down organic waste and supports the nitrogen cycle by reducing ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. It can also help lower phosphate and dissolved organic material.

Is MicroBacter7 safe for fish, corals, and plants?
Yes. When used as directed, MicroBacter7 is safe for fish, corals, invertebrates, and aquatic plants.

When should I use MicroBacter7?

  • When setting up a new aquarium

  • After water changes

  • After adding new livestock

  • When nutrient levels (ammonia, nitrate, phosphate) are elevated

  • As part of regular maintenance

How often should I dose MicroBacter7?

  • New systems or high nutrient levels: dose daily for the first 1–2 weeks

  • Established systems: dose weekly or as needed based on nutrient levels

How do I dose MicroBacter7?
Shake well before use. Add the recommended amount directly to a high-flow area of the aquarium or mix with tank water and pour in.

Do I need to turn off equipment when dosing?
Yes. Turn off UV sterilizers, ozone, and protein skimmers for approximately 4 hours after dosing to allow the bacteria to establish.

Can MicroBacter7 help with algae problems?
Indirectly, yes. By reducing nutrients like nitrate and phosphate, it can help limit the conditions that promote nuisance algae growth.

Will MicroBacter7 make my water cloudy?
Temporary cloudiness may occur after dosing. This is normal and typically clears within several hours as the bacteria settle.

Can I overdose MicroBacter7?
Occasional minor overdosing is generally not harmful, but consistent overuse can reduce oxygen levels. Always follow recommended dosing guidelines.

Does MicroBacter7 replace water changes?
No. It is a supplement to improve biological filtration but does not replace regular water changes and maintenance.

Does MicroBacter7 need to be refrigerated?
No. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration is not required.

How long does MicroBacter7 last?
Shelf life is typically around 2 years when stored properly.

What is MicroBacter7 made of?
It contains purified water, a proprietary blend of beneficial microorganisms, and natural enzymes.

Is MicroBacter7 the same as a cycling product?
It can be used to help establish biological filtration in new aquariums, but it is also designed for ongoing maintenance and nutrient control.
